Measurement

These are some of the books that we have read together as a class to introduce concepts related to Measurement including standard and non-standard units of measurement.  We have learned that       Non-Standard units of measurement "do not have numbers," such as paperclips and connecting cubes.  Standard units of measurement, on the other hand, "have numbers," such as a ruler, measuring tape and thermometer.

How LONG is a SHIP?  Or a snake that slithers?  Is either as LONG as the Mississippi River?

How TALL is a penguin? How TALL is a skunk? Is either as TALL as a tree or chipmunk?

How HEAVY is a bus?  How HEAVY is a dog?  Are they as  HEAVY as a mouse or a frog?

Our classroom is 238 links long!!!

Our classroom is 7 friends long!!!
